CATHOUSE (kat-haus) n.  1.  A highly amplified and artistic rock/post-punk band that originated in New Paltz, NY.  Cathouse began pounding out noisey art-rock in 1993.  With influences ranging from UNSANE to Sonic Youth, they continued to bring the fans out in droves with their east coast sound after relocating to Seattle in 1996.  2004 gave the band a new lineup and a harder edge, filling their live shows with high energy and raw emotion.
The most recent line-up included Joe Fischer and Dave Proscia on guitar and vocals, Julie Schwartz on drums and vocals, Pat Clark on bass, keyboards and vocals, and Cara Schwartz on vocals.
